The People's Choice Award 2025

I’m absolutely thrilled to share that my painting ‘Insert Coin to Begin’ has won the People’s Choice Award in the The SAA Artist of the Year 2025 competition! 🎉

A huge heartfelt thank you to everyone who took the time to vote, share, and support this painting - your encouragement means the world.

‘Insert Coin to Begin’ has always been about nostalgia and those familiar moments that connect us, so for it to receive the People’s Choice Award feels especially meaningful. I’m so grateful to the SAA for this recognition, and to everyone who’s followed my ‘Colour of Night’ series along the way.

I'm very pleased to have ticked off another two art goals; to have a painting on the front cover of an art magazine and to receive a trophy!

I'm also really pleased to say that Playland Amusements has purchased the painting and it will be hung on the premises, also greeting cards will be sold in the shop. It was great to meet Kevin Dixon (National FEC Manager on my right) and Shaun Hooper (Regional operations Director) from Luxury Leisure this evening. Also another huge thank you to Shane Griffin (on my left) for his support.

I'm also happy to say that my recent painting 'Lets Go Quackers' has also been purchased by Playland and is heading up to their Head Office!
