Nestled within Trenance Gardens, the historic cottages glow warmly beneath the evening sky, transforming a familiar daytime attraction into a place of calm, comfort and quiet beauty. It explores how artificial light can reveal a completely different character after sunset.

Trenance Cottages are usually associated with sunshine, visitors and the bustle of Trenance Gardens. Yet after dark, everything changes. The crowds disappear, the pathways fall silent and the warm light spilling from the cottage windows creates an entirely different atmosphere. On winter evenings, the surrounding trees are sometimes illuminated in colour too, adding another layer of light to the gardens.

It's one of the themes that continues to inspire The Colour of Night; discovering extraordinary moments in places you pass and use every day.
