Worth the Wait

Worth the Wait captures a quiet ritual that bring strangers together. A short queue outside a small kiosk becomes something much larger, a shared moment of anticipation, illuminated against the vastness of Plymouth.

Queues are rarely something we celebrate. They're moments we usually try to shorten or forget altogether.

Yet standing outside the Coffee Shack overlooking Plymouth Sound, I found myself noticing something different. The people waiting weren't impatient. They were chatting, watching the evening light fade across the water, taking in the view while quietly sharing the same small pause in their day.

What first caught my eye was the contrast between the warm glow spilling from the kiosk and the cool blues of the bay beyond. The artificial light gathered people together, creating a temporary pocket of warmth within the open landscape. For a few minutes, strangers stand side by side, sharing the same expectation before quietly returning to their own lives.
