Newquay After Dark is a series of paintings capturing everyday life in Newquay at night, the places people go, the routines they follow, and the moments that quietly shape the town after the day ends.

Newquay BID Door Mural Trail 2026

In 2026, the series expanded beyond the canvas when Diane was selected to take part in the Newquay BID Door Mural Trail. Her design, inspired by the atmosphere and colour palette of Newquay After Dark, transformed a three-panel gate in the centre of town into a large-scale night scene celebrating Newquay after dark.

The mural went on to win the public vote, reflecting the strong connection many local people have with the places, routines and shared experiences explored throughout the collection.
